Daily Pet Blueprint
We started this site for one simple reason: owning a pet is brilliant, and also a bit bewildering, and most advice out there is either too basic or written by someone who’s never actually lived with the animal in question.
Whether you’ve just brought home a puppy, adopted a nervous rescue cat, or you’re a few years in and still googling things at midnight, you’re in the right place. We cover training, health, food, and everything in between.
Most pet questions have a straightforward answer buried somewhere under all the conflicting advice online. Pets come with a lot of questions and not enough straight answers. We’ve tried to fix that, one article at a time.
We’re pet owners too, which mostly qualifies us to say: it gets easier, they’re worth it, and yes, that’s dog hair on everything you own now. Welcome aboard.
We’re Biscuit and Wally’s Owners
Technically, most days it feels like the other way round. Biscuit, our Havanese, has been running the house for nine years now, ever since he arrived as a ten-week-old puppy who clearly assumed he was in charge from day one. Wally, our cat, a British Shorthair and Scottish Straight cross, joined us two years ago as a kitten and settled in with far less fuss than we expected, though he’s kept a certain independence about him. We had him neutered a bit earlier than we’d have liked, at seven months rather than twelve, because of the open windows and the heat where we live, and we’ve always wondered if that’s part of why he keeps his distance a little. This site started from getting fed up scrolling through vague or contradictory pet advice and deciding we could do a better, more useful job of it ourselves.
